That's brilliant. Love the use of the OEM fabric.

Top work on the trimming. Looks ace.
Car park is Royal William Yard, if I'm not mistaken. Are you local to Plymouth or is this where you bought your van?

Cheers, it's getting there slowly, flooring is next on the list. And yep 100% correct on Royal William, I'm a local yokel, do you live near Plym?

It's been a while since I last posted so I thought I'd do a quick update.

I've started to sort the floor out. I ended up making a load of 9mm thick battens that I glued down to the floor with sikaflex, allowing me to fix the ply floor down to them. I put in a layer of bubble wrap insulation under the ply for good measure and fixed it all down. I decided to go for vinyl flooring which has come out looking pretty good. I spent a long time shaving it down to get it fitting like a glove. I just need to finish off the area around the side step, not sure what I'm going to do yet.

I guess this would be my first official mod. I managed to get a bit of an ebay bargain on a MK7 Golf GTI Gear Knob & Gator, so fitted that today. Such a massive improvement over the crappy original one! and the red stitching matches my seats 8) . Think I'm on the look out for a matching Steering Wheel now.

I've also been contemplating carpeting the rear doors and the sliding door. I did this on my old T4 and it looked ace, but was a bit of a pain to do.

Great work on the Caddy, love all the details
Did you have to shorten the gear stick to fit the GTI gear knob?

Cheers dude. Yeah I had to cut the lever down. I was a bit worried at first but it wasn't that bad in the end. There's a few good guides online on how to do it to MK5 golfs so I just followed them.

So I've just noticed that all my pictures have broken since Photobucket have changed their policy... so I've been through and updated all of the links. Took ages, I'm just glad I haven't been posting for that long.

Anyway on to better things. My latest update is an absolutely mint Golf MK5 GTI Edition 30 Steering Wheel. I've been looking for one of these for ages and it goes really nicely with the rest of the interior. So glad to get rid of that old crappy plastic one.
