There's a thread in the forum about installing the armrest. I'm sure if you search for 'armrest' it will come up detailing instructions on what to do.i used the guide to fit mine.

Feel free. That's all my conversion is about - taking useful ideas other people have made and integrating them in to my own.

I now have a full new set of tyres ready for winter.

I've also got some snowchains for a worst case scenario. Better safe than sorry!

For those wondering:

Tyres - Good Year Vector 4 Season Gen 2 - 195/65 R15 95H about £350 all in from National as they offered the best price I could find.

Any updated pictures on the storage areas?

Not yet, haven't had chance to head back and finish them off. Hopefully in about a week or so when I have the time to do it it'll be done!
The faces are all oiled and ready to be attached. Just sitting there... waiting...

Been a LONG time since I've posted on here.

Travelled to Scotland and Wales since I've done some work.

Still need to upload pics of my storage unit, but today I've decided to change my ceiling.
The MDF wasn't up to holding strip LED lights as it's too flexible.
Instead I've now decided to change to 5mm plywood ceiling with LED down lights. Made a start today, will hopefully finish tomorrow.

My rims were starting to look pretty miserable, so decided to refurb them!

Image

1 - Used wire brush adapters on an electric drill to get rid of surface rust. Used different sizes to get in the corners and thickness of brushes to tackle tough rust.
2 - Sanded with 40 grit sand paper to tackle areas the drill couldn't reach.
3 - Got drunk on Rubbing alcohol/white spirt to clean off any excess grease and dirt to make sure it's super clean ready for paint.
4 - Taped around the edges of the rim to make a protective edge to then tape newspaper to cover the tyre from paint.
5 - Sprayed with Hammerite paint in 4 coats making sure the whole rim is covered, leaving to dry for 10 minutes before applying the next coat.

Installed some Van-X curtains and my new 5mm plywood ceiling with downlights.
This is a much better upgrade compared to my MDF with LED strip lights!
Note - to use the 5mm ply, you have to buy some of the extra long clips/pins that are easily available on ebay to replace the ones that hold in the OEM ceiling.
