Where did you get the seats installed and how much? I have a Caddy Maxi with two seats in the back at the mo but would like three. Looking for any advice! Thanks.

Barn Door Tinting - I've left it in at the moment for security. It seems to be a film on the inside as theres a tiny hole that lets light through. I saw a post somewhere where they scrapped it all off with a scalpel type thing and washing up liquid.
Like the idea of Neils curtains.. might try that soon. I've got side windows now so need to work out how I can block the light. I kinda wanted to make something with magnets.

Seats
Front seats are touran sports seats from a scrappy. Came with touran bases.

Rear Seat Conversion
Rear passenger seats are properly fitted by Sirus Automotive in Birmingham, they are a disability conversion specialist and as part of the conversions take the rear seats out of caddy lifes so they offer to install them. Not cheap at all! £800 seats + £300off for carpet + something else then VAT in total was about £1800. But I needed it done properly for peace of mind. Although funnily enough the insurance have never asked to see my fitting certificates... On ebay here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Brand-New-VW ... SwPe1UJXUH

There are a few people fitting them on ebay for £700ish. Or the cheapest way seems to get a set of Touran rear seats with the fitting kit and fit those for £250-£500. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-TOURAN-RE ... Sw--Fa40wS

Injector.

Had an injector go while at speed. Quite sketchy droping to 15 miles an hour. Got the AA out but I already knew what it was. I was on my way to a big job. In the end the production company were awsome & hired me a car so the AA dropped me off at the nearest Enterprise & then they took the car back home to my nearest garage. The hire car was a brand new ford fiesta ST model. Quite punchy but shit speakers and the pedals... Its definitely made for skinny teenagers. This was late last week. Just picked up the van from the garage. £524 in total. Ouch. Actual injector cost £297. Rest £40 labour etc then VAT!! We put a lifetime warranty on it so hopefully we can get the others swapped out under that if they go.

Soundproofing

I've been adding bits of sound proofing through out the whole build. Starting with a little bit on the doors when I did the speaker upgrade. Then when I did the insulation & carpeting I added some foamy stuff which was good but not that great. Just cheap.
When I fitted the new front seats I also wacked some in the floor to cut the road noise.
After that I decided I should buy some more proper Silent Coat. Its expensive but it works properly.
I've been experimenting with it and put some down in the back under the floor carpet. Some on the side panels when I was messing about with the rear camera wiring and some in the rear sliding doors & some in the ceiling when I recut a roof panel to hide the bulk head cut outs.

By far the best place to put it seems to be above the cab unit (where the shelf is). I put 3 bits in and then some of my cheap foamy stuff over the top and WOW its cut most of that high pitch wine out on the roads! Highly recommend!!

I'm just about to paint the over head shelf and dye the roof lining in the cab... So i'll add some silent coat while I'm at it :) thanks for the recommendation!

I would highly recommend Van-X bar door curtains. My tint was easy enough to peel away. no need for a scalpel other than to lift up a corner or something. I'm happy I've taken mine off. Still looks like a works van, and they're black out, so can't see in, can't see out.

Bought a mk4 rear bumper on ebay a few months back for a bargain price. Had to get some replacement reflectors but all good really. Bumper is grey colour but gunna get the front bumper & rear colour coded.

Easy fit. Just undo 6 screws...

Always wanted to upgrade the headlights somehow. Can't afford xenon's. And not to keen on £400ish for new headlights so I found these LED bars:https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07 ... UTF8&psc=1

I'd always imaged taking out the headlights and cutting them open to fit them properly but lifes too short for all that.

These ones are slim, designed to fit in the gap around the headlight. I've wired them into the bulb holders and all working A ok. For the drl you're supposed to use a fuse tap from an ACC+. I'd do that next.

Amazing build thread on Matilda I have to say 👌👍 have you installed any sound proofing under the floor matting in the back of the Van, I plan on doing so but unsure whether to cut round the pressed raise ribs to keep it all level.
