Great thread. I'm looking at a Caddy for an everyday vehicle but also bike transport and some camping so this is a great thread to read!

Hi,Hopefully picking up my first caddy on monday.
opted for 2014 startline, 102ps, Black. cheap and cheerful intended for MTB trips and commuting. Ive been shopping around for a while (everything is over priced and millions of miles or fathoms away) so gonna begin at the bottom end and do it all myself rather than buy a highline etc. Now i have 2 weeks off to get cracking so i can make the most of summer.
Im after some information to how much carpet and silent coat i will require to carry out a similar makeover???
thanks. any reply is much appreciated

Welcome - new van sounds nice.
I used 8m of carpet and it came with 8x tins of spray adhesive - I used about 6x tins in total.
Silentcoat - I used all except 4x sheets.

Nice job!!

I have a friend that modifies T4s and he's gave me the same carpet and tins of glue for £40.

I'll take a trip to B&Q for some insulation but this ply was already in when I got this a couple of weeks ago.

Also interested in you spraying the rears black as quoted £50 for tints (I already have metal panels in place).

Thanks for the comments - I'm really pleased with the way the glass came out.
Need acrylic enamel paint and go easy with the first coat - give it a dust and let it go off so it adheres then apply a further series of coats til it is fully covered.
