Re: My first caddy and VW - TANGOED MTB build
Thanks mate, and don't worry that was one of the jobs I kept putting of as was afraid going go bugger it up. Just take your time and the stretch carpet is very forgiving, may want to start on the passenger side first as found that wheel arch much easier for a first attempt

Re: My first caddy and VW - TANGOED MTB build
Sadly haven't been able to glue floor down today as didn't think far enough forward in my build.
But not an all wasted day? Managed to paint the rear door gaurd thing off and painted the locks, as previous owner spilt what looked like white paint all over it.
So am waiting on 16mm cable that have to put in before the floor goes down permanently, and drilled holes in the floor with rubber bungs to protect the cable and put hole in floor for when I attach it all to the fuse box.
And finally just roughly cut out the vinyl so be easier to get it down, hopefully have Friday off work to finish it all off.

Re: My first caddy and VW - TANGOED MTB build
Ok so floor is glued and all down.
Managed to feed wire through but they will all be hidden eventually when bench/bed is in
Just need to put sealant bead round edges to tidy it all up.
Anyway hears the finished work, think looks good even if do say so myself haha.
Now off to Stockport to buy myself an inflatable drive away awning as we're off camping this weekend
Enjoy your weekends everyone!

Not sure what one your on about.LeeH wrote:Whats this sticky foil everybody is using

If on about silver stuff on the right it is sound deadening and makes a lot of difference in the back, especially if have cut the bulkhead down.
And the silver stuff on the left is heat reflective bubble wrap to keep it bit warmer.

Re: My first caddy and VW - TANGOED MTB build
So tonight have managed to fit my fuse box / busbar. Very roughly fitted two charging ports as am camping in the van for few nights at ArdRock bike festival.
Happy with it as keeps everything tidy and cost £29 for anyone wanting to know.....

Rather you than me, this is mine and my partners first ever race so just entered the intro one to get a feel for it all. But still really looking forward to it! Lol, it's brilliant, I've did it every year since it started - 4 years - it's tremendous, amazing flat out rocky descents.
My fave race of the year.
