Thanks for comments guys, next is what vinyl floor to get.
Am tempted with a dark wood effect but unsure.
And with the back done the front looks bit odd so may have to carpet or paint some of the plastics to match better.

Re: My first caddy and VW - TANGOED MTB build
So have finally fitted my leisure battery behind the drivers seat.
Have tried wiring it in differently to others by using the busbar in the fuse box.
But need to check it all with volt meter as seems to keep sending power when have turned engine off until lock the car, if doesn't change then will have to go directly from the starter battery.
Hopefully it all works fine as think it makes engine bay look much tidier.

Nice bit of work, it's good to see someone hooking up to the spare terminals and using the correct bolts etc. I all too often see big chunky "ICE" fuse holders screwed down beside the engine bay fuse box and wonder if the person fitting it knew there was a very simple factory(style) method.
Anyway, to put you at ease, you are pretty much already connected to the start battery, that's the battery wire connecting unfused to the bus bar.

Yeah exactly that as seen so many people on here drill the fuse holders in to the top of the water tight fuse box, which now won't be.Doc wrote:Nice bit of work, it's good to see someone hooking up to the spare terminals and using the correct bolts etc. I all too often see big chunky "ICE" fuse holders screwed down beside the engine bay fuse box and wonder if the person fitting it knew there was a very simple factory(style) method.

But I like it more just because looks factory rather than big box stuck go the top.

Just a small mod today, little volt meter so can keep an eye on what battery is at.
Think that is best place for it.

Great progress. Especially like the neat leisure battery hookup and voltmeter.
Oh, what's the ceiling liner you used?

Thanks guys, yeah keeps engine bay looking stock.

He has few other designs really nice quality and has bit of stretch to it.
