The door check strap is only £18.88 including VAT from VW and that's without any discount.Celticrsmith wrote: ↑Thu Apr 19, 2018 6:59 pm Cheers guys. There’s a few on the bay, £28. I’ll just get from there.
I'd reckon you'd get a pair for about £30 if you talk nice to the parts guy.

Re: Ex scottish gas caddy
Bought myself an 06 touran to raid for bits. It’s got an mot and only issue was it’s lost 6th gear and it’s a bit untidy on the outside.
Gonna take;
Bonnet insulation
Undertray
4 pot headlights
Seat bases
Seats
Arm rest
Carpet
Door cards
Unsure if I’ll use;
Dash
Clocks
Cruise control
Rear seats
Wing mirrors
Front bumper will be sold as got a touran one.
Alloys need a refurb but tyres are all very good.
Engine has covered 210k so might be of use to someone.
Really hope I can recoup my £380 I paid for it

Jeez, wish I could find one that cheap!
I only want the elec windows and door cards so I can fit my touran wings and mirrors
Rusty wings are a good look lol

I’d do the dash swap and at the same time do the cruise control. If you have the patience or know a good Bodyshop do the mirrors as they look a lot better and if you have the room store the rear seats as you may change your mind. If you don’t want them after a period of time you can always sell them on
On a side note think of taking the bump strips off and using them

Re: Ex scottish gas caddy
YeAh there’s a lot I can use. Saw it advertised locally for £500 so being Scottish, haggled him down to £380.
Will probably swap the caddy seats and headlights for the touran ones. Would most likely do the carpets, arm rest and seats at same time.

Good find. If your not using the cruise control I would take it off you as I do a lot of long journeys and it was make life easier. Would also perhaps take the wing mirrors too. Help a local lad out

You’re welcome to the mirrors mate. Just make me an offer
I’m undecided on the cc. Wouldnt mind it myself but if I’m honest....dunno if I’d use it.
