If anyone wants the old front/rear bumpers FOC then let me know as I'll be taking them to the tip at the weekend.

Looks great so far! Am about to start a Maxi conversion; what did you insulate yours with? Did you carpet directly onto the insulation?

Re: Ex scottish gas caddy
I've not carpeted mine yet, think that'll get done in the new year when I've got some time but I'm undecided whether to just carpet directly on and fit a ply liner 1st, then carpet it. Probably line it tbh, maybe gives it a sharper edge (and flatter/easier surface to carpet)rich.caddy wrote: ↑Fri Nov 10, 2017 1:03 am Looks great so far! Re: Ex scottish gas caddy
I only put ply in the window indents to cover the insulation rest of the van was carpeted on body. The good thing with ply lining the whole thing is you can insulate all the metalCelticrsmith wrote: ↑Wed Nov 15, 2017 7:25 pm I've not carpeted mine yet, think that'll get done in the new year when I've got some time but I'm undecided whether to just carpet directly on and fit a ply liner 1st, then carpet it. Brilliant job on the conversion so far celticrsmith! What insulation product did you use?
Also, bear with my ignorance, but what is the handbrake push button mod you mentioned as your best alteration so far?

I carpeted all the metal and then carpet my ply lining. Get the best of both I guess.

Lovely job mate, that's the sort of finish we are trying to get in benhurd93's swb at the moment... hoping to finish it tonight.

Re: Ex scottish gas caddy
Not much to report really. I keep watching all you guys plough on with the next mod and wish it was me! Some really sweet vans on here.
Finally fitted a rear bumper protector
In the process noticed I’m missing the rear left retaining clip and that the bolt had sheared off. This makes the door ‘swing’ a little. Would anyone be able to help me replace these ie part numbers so I can fix it?

So the part number on mine is...
2k5827793. I have absolutely no idea if it’s the correct one for yours.
