Ex scottish gas caddy

Post by Celticrsmith »

Today I bought my 1st caddy. It's a 2010 2ltr sdi with 48k miles. Needs some cosmetic work to be great, but will get that done soon. Just gonna keep it simple and not ott modified. I'll post pics if I knew how haha

Since having the van I've done a few little things to it;

Smoked rear lights
Smoked rear tailgate light
Smoked indicators
Resprayed the bonnet and drivers door (crack in paint)

I've sourced a Touran front
Colour coded rear bumper too.

I'll post photo bucket pics soon

What did you use to smoke the lights?

I bought them already smoked, just swapped them over. I realise these threads are pretty useless without pics. I'm running an old iPhone 4 so it won't let me download tapatalk etc and photobucket seems to crash my mobile. Maybe time for a new one.

Best mod so far, replacing the missing handbrake button! Makes the world of difference.

Fitted spigot rings as the wheels were just centralised by the bolts so had terrible shudder over 5mph.

Been prepping the rear bumper, ready for the sprayer to colour code it.

Bought calliper paint as they're rusty as hell and contemplating painting the wheels black.

Also awaiting black side bars, should be here tomorrow and 'easy enough' to fit I hope.

Need to source a paintless dent removal company to have a look at the door as there's some damage but I think/hope it's fixable.

Keeping an eye out for some new seats as that's next on the wish list.

Oh, I've also had the wing mirrors colour coded, I quite like the uneven mirrors, reminds me of sloth from the goonies

And the reason I'm writing this is that I hit a pigeon yesterday, thought it just hit the windscreen but turns out it bounced off the bonnet first and has scratched my 2 week painted bonnet, NOT happy!!

Easiest and Best mod to date! To be honest, I've no idea why it was missing in the first place!

Getting it back in the next few days, can't wait. Hopefully it's turned out how I'd hoped.....
