300bhp+ caddy build 1.9 tdi

Post by M3rr3tt »

Thought I would start a build thread, I have been here lurking for around a year while looking for a suitable van.

I brought 2009 with engine problem of oil getting into the water around 2 weeks ago, In the mean time I have de-sticker the van and also started to prepare the engine for fitting.

The turbo I'm using is a gtb22060vk. I'm going to run it safe at around 240bhp before changing injectors to get the extra power. Once running I will be concentrating getting it to handle and stop.

Few pictures of the van and how it stands at the moment.

Start of changing the crank seal and crank sensor to allow for the use of edc16 ecru which is in the caddy, as when the engine was in the Fabia it used a different crank sensor due to older type of Ecu edc15.

New seal and sensor fitted.

I have also changed the water pump, tensioner and cam belt along with cam sensor as this is different as well.

Been a busy day taking the engine out th caddy and getting the new 1 in, hopefully have it fired up tomorrow. Just got to sort shafts and intercooler thinking of going s3, is there only dark side who do the hard pipe kits for the them?

Few pictures from today.

Are you going to facelift the front end I'm looking to do the same but struggling with the little bits I need and where to start before fitting. Haha
