Blue Maxi Build
Starting a thread for my build. It's a ex BG maxi, 2013 with only 15k on the clock. So far I've removed all the racking that it came with, fitted some door rail covers and had the second row of maxi life seats fitted. This was done by Sirius Automotive in Wednesbury, they done a great job and I'd definently recommend them. Pics to come.

Re: Blue Maxi Build
The van is to be used for carrying bikes mostly and the odd camping trip.
The plan for the inside is to install sound deadening, insulation, ply line and carpet the walls and headlining. Speakers and power point in the rear, tinted windows and possibly some side windows. Flooring will be something practical, not sure what yet.
For the outside I'll be wrapping the roof in gloss black, colour coding a few bits and sorting the wheels and suspension. No idea what wheels I want yet.

Slow progress but colour coded the rear trim and lock, may look to getting the lock removed in the future but this will do for now.

Re: Blue Maxi Build
Been a busy couple of weeks. Got the silent coat soundproofing in, insulated, walls and panels carpeted and headlining trimmed.
I went with laminate flooring, it has a thin layer of foam between it and the silent coat. It was a pain trimming it to fit, in time I'm going to put some trim around the seat brackets.
The headliner is a self adhesive material that replicates alcantara, got it off eBay from Korea but can't find it on there anymore. Made a panel out of 3mm mdf to cover the gap left by the bulkhead.
Really happy with the results, it's made a huge difference to the road noise.

Re: Blue Maxi Build
A couple more jobs complete. Touran rear flooring with the storage to tidy up the rear footwells, got this off German eBay for £120.
Touran centre console £75 off ebay, was very dirty but after a thorough clean it's came up great. A new vent for the rear is on order.
Passenger side mirror off German eBay and both colour coded, really happy with how these look.
And some wheel trims to tidy it up until I get wheels and suspension sorted.
Next jobs: front seats, side windows, tinted rear windows, colour coded bumpers, suspension and wheels.

Re: Blue Maxi Build
Zak, are those plastic wheel trims on your wheels? Did you put them on if so where did you get them. I'm putting the steelies back on my Caddy for winter but don't really like the silver finish. Thanks.
