Interesting I'm wanting to go down the common rail 2.0 engine route did you have to swap all the interior wiring or was it just engine bay loom you had to swap

Which clocks did you use, this converstion is pretty tempting at the price of 1.8 engines on ebay compared to the common rail 2.0

Standard caddy clocks... with the 20v ecu having imo deleted they kida just wored.. only downside is i now have an annoying 3rd party imo.

Nice swap, next time go for the 2.0 Tfsi with K04 turbo on it :lol:

Hi mate

I have done the same swap as matt, I used a copy of elsawin I bought of ebay, it will give you all the diagrams you need then, can be done with out that though if you are half ok with working out the caddy wiring.

I used this link for doing my mk2 golf 20v and my caddy 20v it gives you a idea of whats what.

Mine was prefacelift, but will pretty much the same. I have facelifted mine too lol

What did you do for the downpipe is it a custom job, or can you use 1 from a 1.8t
