Natural Grey Caddy Build From SA

Post by Miltonian »

Hi guys

Been on the forum for some couple of months now.
I got myself a 2005 Caddy Life 1.6i Natural Grey with 242000 on the clock.
Was a bit abused but I had a bigger vision.

When I bought it:
Removed the interior panels

Then I started on the transformation:
Got faily new front seats:

Repainted the caddy
Full valet
Front headlight covers

Tinted the backlights

Recovered the panels.

Installed an LED interior light

Droppped the suspension (40/60)
From a 4x4:

To this:

Recently installed:
Changed the mags to BBS Mags

AUTO light switch
Golf 6 Gear leaver and pouch
Some nice VW stickers
Amplifier and 6x9s (still have to build a box for this)

A final product:
still got little bits and bobs to do but generally happy with it:

Stop using photobucket - it sucks arse, and it won't be around much longer  It's REALLLLLLLY slow, and doesn't let me look at the pictures anyway ;) I'd like to see them too!

How does the 1.6i go?

I was thinking about putting that engine in a Touran, to avoid all the FSI crap... I already have one that's mostly R32 converted, so I might just make a FWD version 3.2 instead. The 1.6 is probably a good around town runner though - right?

Hi

How would i upload pics ? please advise.

The 1.6 is great fuel wise but dead slow on take off.
but generally happy with it, i'd love to install a Gold 5 GTI motor in it and have a R32 box installed.

will see how it goes.
