Hi.
I´m from Sweden and I have got a -16 2,0 TDI DSG.
The plan is to make a fast event-racer for my company.
The plan is to try to make it go around Nurburgring under 9 min at least.
Right now I´m searching for compatible brakes and other stuff to make it quicker.
I will post pictures as the building starts. Right now the car is stock except for a some engine tuning.
Now the engine has 195hp and 410nm.
The chassie will be a KW mix with Competition in the front and a V3 in the rear. Specced by Raeder Motorsport.
It will run on 17" wheels with Trofeo R tires.
Brakes are not decided yet. Interior will be stripped out and roll cage.
Best regards Nicklas

Re: Event-Racer
Welcome. Interesting project. Will be watching this.
As for brakes, biggest problem would be what can fit under 17” wheels for maximum performance. Good news is there’s lots of info for Golf 5 or 6 on the internet which are a perfect fit for Caddy. Vagbremtechnic.com in the UK make lots of kits for the Golf/Caddy including adapters for Audi and Brembo calipers.

Re: Event-Racer
Wow! Looking forward to seeing this develop. 17's are quite small for a caddy though? I would have thought 18's with juicy rubber would be a better option for allowing bigger brakes though?
