Caddy Kombi 150 DSG

Post by jamesbilluk »

Hi all,

New member to the forum, and a new owner of a Caddy, I collected it on Wednesday so still getting used to it. Its a 2017 150 Kombi, in Pure grey. From what I understand, it was specced up as a demonstrator for the dealership, then sent off to have a few modifications added to it. So far, I'm thrilled with it, love the DSG box, can't believe how well its put together as well (coming from a 2015 Vito) Loving the options too, adaptive cruise, park pilot (which I've not used yet...) and the HID's.

Edit... Seem to be having embedding the images..

Here are a few pics of it -

Lovely motor, got a 150 DSG Kombi myself, not quite the spec of yours but I love it!

Yeah, mines run in nicely at 15k now and it’s sweet as a nut with that gearbox. Best extra I ticked was the winter pack, had privacy glass, reverse camera and a couple of other bits too, full load liner was worth the £80 odd quid, wind deflectors are en route.

Very nice spec. Winter pack is fantastic, the heated front windscreen has been very useful the past 2 mornings!

What kind of MPG and mileage to a tank are you getting?

Average so far for 15k is 47.5, I use Shell which seems better when I’ve got a full load of bikes on board, I rarely get in the car for less than a 1hr drive which improves consumption but I enjoy using the power so don’t hang about. Average tank is 522, think the best is 560-570 but it’ll go further as the reserve is very conservative, I’ve just filled the Adblue and reckon I get 7000ish per tank.

For reference my previous Caddy was a 2.0 tdi 102 manual and I averaged 55.5 in that, I’m more than happy losing 8mpg for DSG, seats & 150bhp!!!

That’s very impressive economy :) And great for the power too. Certainly better than the Vito, average
30mpg and 420 for a tank...

I had well over 40mpg when I had my Vito. Although I much prefer the caddy and it doesn’t rust like the Vito did.
