Ex BG maxi family and fishing wagon

Post by GeorgeA »

Hi all, going to make a little thread on the progress I make on the Caddy. It’s going to be an every day use van for the family and fishing trips.
Plans: Coilovers, alloys, carpeting, roof wrap, head unit and possibly remap and cruise control.
Done so far: rear seats, rear windows, insulated and ply lined and Flettner vent removed and filled.

Will follow your thread. Are you planning on keeping that colour?

Yeah, although it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, I quite like it. Having the roof wrapped black soon though.

Nice windows... I wasn't sure about the colour, but it's growing on me now too.
I've just bought a BG Maxi too and have very similar plans... any chance of a photo of the rear seats please? What did you go for, Kombi or something different?

I actually quite like the colour!

How much did the rear seats and windows set you back? As above, any pictures of the conversion so far?

Thanks
Paul

They’re actually seats from a Fiat Doblo, fit perfectly! I’ll get a photo tomorrow in the light mate.

It was £1670 all in and they chucked in ply lining for free. I’ll get some photos tomorrow mate.

Ah that's not too bad. Did that include the safety test/certificate?
Brilliant, i look forward to them.

Looking good! I like the seats. Do they have Isofix in them as well?

Good effort!
