Build thread

Post by Caddy0802 »

Alright guys!
I'm Jack and this is my new caddy maxi. First van ever...
Ordered some wheels straight away, they came today.. 18" Lkw.
As soon as I got the van it went into limp mode on motorway never fear I've got warranty.. So it's the turbo...therefore it's in the garage getting turbo refurbished etc hence the reason the wheels aren't on yet!
I picked the van up off a dealer for just under 5500 on a 63 plate very happy!

HOW DO YOU ATTACH PHOTOS???

Alright Jack. Sounds like a cracking deal. Aside from the turbo issue.. also sounds like exactly the same deal as I'm currently searching for so I will be watching this thread.

Not sure on the photos. From what I can gather you can upload them using tapatalk or using dropbox (I think). But as I haven't got my 2k shape caddy yet I don't have any photos to upload, so I haven't tried it. And nobody wants to see a photo of my battered old mk2 van.

Use a third party hosting site like Flickr or imageshack, just not photobucket as they don’t allow you to share anymore. Then once you’ve uploaded them click on the share link on the image. Pretty sure there’s a thread on it too

Ok well I'll stick a little photo on my "new members" post. But if I get flamed for it I'm blaming you.

im a plasterer too. I find it very rewarding though, especially when you see a nice smooth uniform finish on a ceiling or wall, nice sharp corners and ultimately positive response from the customer. it is bloody hard work though!

I find certain aspects rewarding, I do lime plaster cornice work for instance where you can take your time and get great results but skimming full rooms is just tedious, I do miss the days when I used to float with Browning on the morning and skim over it with Carlite finish in the afternoon, the days used to fly by and you weren't hanging around waiting for finish to go off. My advice to anyone thinking of taking a plastering course is do a bricklaying course instead, good brickies are like rocking horse shit and most site work is tape and joint anyway
