Update 28/02/2018
Update on this snowy day in Feb.
Not had a lot of time to do any thing to Rio since buying her. Ordered few parts and she is booked in at body shop to sort a few bits but I have fitted and very happy with auto lights. Absolute bargain on the old ebay
Also been wheel Shoping and I'm looking at these but I'm looking for input
Let me know what you think

Re: My 2004 Caddy "Rio"
I'm gonna play devils advocate here but it's just a suggestion so don't shoot me down. It was a real nice looking van pre impact and although replacing the lower rear quarter panel isn't a massive job it's still not gonna be cheap if you can't do it yourself, then there's the new door, light and the repair to the upper rear quarter and hopefully the bottom hinge hasn't moved. Add to all this that its no spring chicken and it's the dreaded SDI, personally I'd cut my losses and move on and try to find a 1.9 TDI or even a facelift model if the budget will stretch. Mines a 57 plate and that's the very reason I'm reluctant to do even the simplest mod as it won't add value to the van, but if you love her, follow your heart

Such a shame to see the damage.
I hope you do manage to buy it back nice and cheap and get it sorted!
Not very many SDIs around as projects.

You could always get Father Ted to knock the dent out with his pin hammer...but I wouldn't recommend it

Snow Smash Update
So due to the pay Out going to be lower than I need to buy a new van and my company is only few months old so not got savings going to buy her back and get her fixed.
Friendly with guy at body shop so he is going to sort me out a deal if I do few bits of wireing for him on the cheep.
Parts getting ordered
As the paints in the gun and the bumper will be off going to ask him to do the rear bumper while he is at it

She's going...
So sadly it looks like Rio is going insurance will give me pennies ig I buy her back and also cancel my policy as the won t insurance van they have written off
But the have the have agreed to pay out the full value of the van so tonight I went and put deposit down on a 2007 Caddy Silver TDI
Pick her up sat so will get pics swap some of the gear over from Rio before they take her.
What have we learnt? Don't play in the snow with bigger vans than you
