Did you lower it on springs or coilovers?

Nah i fitted them myself so that was technically "free". Assuming no problems a garage would probably be a couple of hours labour i think. Takes a bit longer at home but only due to the lack of car lift.

Thanks man. Its getting there. Still a lot I want to do cosmetically but one thing at time and all that. I haven't had it remapped yet, but I am eyeing up a Pendle Stage 1. I had them do my T5 and they did an excellent job.

Looking good. I'd do the "Joey's Mod" on the headlights (and "Cross" smoked tail lights on the back)...

Thanks man, appreciate that. I'll have a search for those on the forum and see how they look. I sort of have an idea of how the van should look in my head but cant really describe it. I just know what it will be when I see it.

Wee update...

Honestly not much has happened of late car wise. Not to give the big xfactor sob story but... the house was broken into by means of a big brick through the front window (subtle eh). They tried the van too but couldn't smash that window. Her dad came down within 5 minutes, the police called etc... they caught a guy hiding from the dogs in the back garden (little did he know the dogs wanted a bit of attention and to play)... I was away at work at the time so the wife was understandably "freaked"... we think they are part of a known gang in the area and were trying to get keys for the garage to get to my motorbikes and vans. But anyway.. the money recently has gone towards CCTV and House security improvements. (I wanted a sniper tower and some German attack dogs but she wouldn't let me)

Anyhoo..

I did manage to pick up a set of mk5 GTI seats for 79 quid. Then a trip to the upholsterers to fix the worn drivers bolster and they are good as new. Touran bases picked up and in they went.

Hopefully manage to make some headway with this again soon now that things have calmed down a bit.

Sorry to hear that mate. Not sorry to hear to about the 79quid seats! bargain! Would they have gone in without the touran bases?

Life's a beach sometimes I guess. My fault for living in Airdrie!

I caught hold of them on fleabay. Guy was selling them down in Ayr for collection only, he had tried to get them into his T4. 79 for the pair. Then I paid another 150 for the repairs to the material at a place in Rutherglen. The Touran bases were 105 for the pair, but took a while for some black ones to come up. No chance they would have gone in without the Touran bases though. But it was a pi$$ easy swap to do. And now supremely comfortable.
