Your van is looking good!

Was there a dedicated pin on the BCM to connect to? Or are they just tapped into the interior light circuit?

Yes mate. I have a caddy4 I don’t know if other vans are the same. I will add a photo so you can keep it. Image

I got this when I was doing my seats. Hope it helps.

Nope. Unscrew the plastic trim under the steering wheel gently slide out the bcm the hardest bit is finding the correct cables. Correct numbers. Check double check. Make sure the ignition is not on thought I should say that. solder and heat-shrink

Brilliant stuff! Does this mean you can control the brightness of the footwell lights from the MFD ?

They only come on when the interior lights come on. If you want them on all the time your have to connect to another cable. But I don’t know what they would be.

So I’m thinking of changing my side bars for side skirts. What you think?

I do like the side bars but it would make the van more sporty I think.

Anyone have any good side skirt ideas.

Blue obsession caddy 4 build

So done a couple of bits this weekend. New leather gear knob. With blue obviously. I’m happy with this. Don’t like what else I did back to the drawing board. 🤦🏻‍♂️ because I’m stubborn I like to do things myself or I want to learn or try to learn.

So gear knob, happyImageImage

ImageImageImageImageImageImage

O and handbrake button.

So next was I done some alcantara the little bits I like. But the A pillar I don’t like how it’s finished. So I’m going to upol dye that and put little bits around the van. Obviously I will clean the glue off the plastic. 🤦🏻‍♂️

ImageImageImageImage

The A pillar cover. Because there is no stretch in Real Alcantara at the point of the Y you couldn’t wrap the fabric under so I cut it to wrap round and put a thin strip over the cut. Didn’t like it. So I will add touches over the van and upol the A pillars. Think that’s best. Or get someone to do them.

Not this year. Next probably I will see if a trimmer can make it look less plastic, I though about trimming a dash cover to break up the plastic. 🤷‍♂️ see how the cash is.
