Is there any chance you can post pics of how you trimmed and carpeted your bulkhead to fill the gaps as I can't see follow the link on the forum.
Thanks for the Build thread hopefully going to be using some of your ideas on my own.

It's a Pioneer SPH-DA120 mate https://www.pioneer-car.eu/eur/products/sph-da120
I got it mainly for the apple car play so I can use google maps, spotify, Imessage, whatsapp through my phone on the display. It's not got DAB or built in Sat Nav though so I'd probably say it's the entry model for these type of head unit's. I'm happy with it though since it's got everything I need and I've bought their reverse camera to go with it so hopefully that works well once I connect it. I got it for around £250 off eBay which I thought was a steal as they're +£300 at normal retail price.

Load your preferred images on a usb stick (need to be jpeg)
Plug in the usb stick to head unit input

Go on
Settings> select the pallet icon> select splash screen>select the media icon> select usb1/2> select preferred image to apply it
Turn head unit off and onImage
