I asked the guy to drop it around 60mm but he said it’s as low as it’ll go before any rubbing on the wheel arches. I’ve been over all sorts, speed humps, pot holes etc and all good so far!

Hello, what vent have you installed? Were they easy to install or did you have to play around with them ?

They're Audi S3 8V air vents, although they were pretty easy to fit, they're not a straight swap. The little plastic tabs on the inside edge of the hole in the dash needed a bit of filing down in order to get a good fit when inserting the S3 vents. Mine do rotate when opening and closing the vent but I have them permanently open so I'm not too bothered.

I found some details on Horace's Caddy build thread https://www.caddy2k.com/forum/viewtopic ... ts#p261695

I followed this guide to remove the standard air vents, it's easier once you've done the first one.

Could you remember part number or where you got it ?
Cheers

Hi Mate,

I got it from a German company on ebay, looks like they've relisted it however it is pricey at £116!

Great build man, looking to do a split charging kit soon so the info you've posted will come in handy, thanks!

Also do you have a list of bits for the electric windows conversion? Is it just a case of regulators and door cards?

Where did you get the bed mate? Is it custom made for a caddy or did you need to modify it much?

I've not fitted them yet as they need a few bits painting and I've been too busy :( I'm pretty sure they're a straight fit from all the other posts that mention them on the forum.

Thanks man, glad to hear it was helpful! I've still got a bit of work on it to tidy things up behind the seat.
I've only got the door cards and regulator/door modules for it so far. I'm still not 100% sure on the wiring side as to whether I need a new loom or if I just need to run a live wire from the fusebox. I still need to do a bit more digging...

It's from B&Q, I searched for a long time to find one that would fit between the wheel arches. It's a good fit however I had to put some wooden blocks under the legs to raise the frame up a few cm as it currently rests on the centre console armrest.. the other issue is the front leg can’t quite get the full extension forward due to the centre console but it was fine after fixing it down to the blocks. It's pretty sung as a double bed for two people but pretty spacious for one person.
