Re: Caddy Rouge
Bit more done today.
Stripped out the entire front end today
Repainted all the grey plastics with upol plastic paint
Also recovered the headliner with carpet, also the B pillars I covered to match
Fitted my LED colour changing lights and made a cool feature strip to give it a bit of a change from the norm.

Re: Caddy Rouge
Thanks mate, happy with how its turning out so far!
Tried to tint the rear windows but that wasan epic fail, so getting a local company to do that for £60
New up will be another machine polish tonight then on to building the sliding bed and sound system

Re: Caddy Rouge
Build some speaker boxes to case the components in the rear of the van, also fitted the same speakers in the front door cards and tweeters in the dash.
Got the sub box installed under the bed too.
Just waiting/deciding when head unit to run? Thinking of one of those Extrons 9" touch screen units for eBay? They look good, and as I'm sunning everything through a 4 way pioneer amp, I can improve and adjust the sound quality through on the amp?
Anyone else running one of them?

Re: Caddy Rouge
I really like those speaker boxes, keeps them well out of the way and they look much better than mine which are on top of boxed in wheel arches.
An amp won't improve the quality of the signal it receives, filters and equalisers etc. will change the sound but crap in = crap out.
Having said that I'm happy with the sound quality of my Pumpkin branded Chinese head unit, you can clearly hear the difference between different bit rate mp3's and DAB so the sound quality can't be that bad. The separate sub output and sub channel in the graphic equaliser also works quite well and avoids needing a remote gain control.

Not much left to do with it now apart from finishing the sound system and bed covering

Re: Caddy Rouge
Looking good. Particularly like the carpeting of the inside of the barn / side doors. Carpeted the rear of mine but looks odd with the white insides of the doors. May have to pinch that idea
