Thanks man! Image As it was just going to be used as a bike transporter I wasn’t bothered. That lasted about 8 mins lol. Chuffed with how it is now. Not perfect as I’m not a pro but going in the right direction of a nice place to be!

A few additional lights on a separate switch, decent sleeping bag, some foam to sleep on and a bottle to pi$$ in, can’t beat it

Hahaha, dude!!!! Good to see someone else with an eye for a flash of cockpit colour. Here’s my rear end beach hangout for some ideas. Gonna be sleeping in her for a surf/road trip in July so it’s gotta be comfy!!!ImageImage

Cracking job on the back pal. May I ask what was the purpose of the bench/tabletop beforehand?

That’s a really good question lol. Because all the gubbbings for the air ride had been thrown into a box and the tank bolted to the top. I guess it was to protect it as he used as a work van?

Now relocated all the compressor and cabling under the seats ( still a little tidying to do, might be making a loom to encompass all the wiring together even neater)

We’ll be building a ( smart and trimmed to match the flooring ) box of some variety to cover the tank.

Next on the list though is the roof liner in the load bay and then into the cabin. So will be stripping all the a pillars storage box and other plastics to get them painted or trimmed. Unsure which way to go get any inspiration welcome!

I stripped mine out an sent all the upper plastics to the Bodyshop to be painted gloss black. Have to say they look much better and have had no trouble with scratches.

My headliner I had a bit of black stretch carpet left so had the upholster do that at the same time as he did the gear gator and armrest lid.

Think I’m going to be stripping out the front next weekend or maybe the end of may and start with the re trim/ paint.

Loving the van a lot more now it’s becoming a nicer place to be! Hopefully get all the interior done this year and the exterior\ paint done over the winter!

Had an hour or so free yesterday so took out the plastic trims in the load bay.
Two side pods and the tailgate trim. Wanted to give them a clean as they were rank and decide from there what I’m gonna do with them.
A few people had said about chucking them in the bath to soak, which actually worked really well and got looooooooaaaaddds of grime off. Here’s what the bath looked like after lol

After putting them back in the freshly done load bay I think I’m going to have to carpet the tailgate piece as it’s too rough. And the side pods I’m going to paint when I do the trims in the front.

So today the “quick release” kit on my front bumper did its job as the rubber straps snapped while I was prepping the car for edition tomorrow.

I have decided to replace them with some very fetching cable ties until I can find a body shop that will help remove the wholes from the quick release kit and repaint the bumper and wings. Just need to find a shop that’s comfortable working with metal flake.

If any ones going to early edition come say hey !

Guys!

Happy to confirm you get to super bikes in the back of a caddy maxi!

Got my s1000rr and my pals Zx10 in with all our track gear no problem! I’ll get a pic up in the week.

On a second note, early edition was amazing and some proper naughty vans there. Hope everyone had a good weekend !

So I’ve started a long list of niggly little jobs.

First one was the sliding rail cover

They lacquer was flaking and had been painted a matte colour before.

Simple enough to do.Whipped them off in the week. If any one hasn’t done it , two screws where the doors open, then slide off at the end.

Dropped them off with my old man to have them paint them an Audi black, as they were painting a few whole cars at the time!

Photos never show up the paint of the van. But the covers look nice and fresh!

Next up will be the roof of the cabin to tidy up. Going to carpet the headliner and paint all the plastic. If anyone has any tips or must do’s and don’ts please share!
