Been quiet on here of late had no funds to do anything to the van been saving like crazy and apart from paying off my mortgage i now have some extra money for mods
so has anyone any info on installing passat cc electric seats to mk4 caddy ? hopefully getting a set of leathers this week

do the airbag looms match ? is there much to installing a loom to operate the electric parts on the seats ? unsure if they are heated at present but il know later in the week they are full leather from a 2013 passat cc

no im waiting on stan to make me the looms to work the electrical elements on it but for now they are in and mostly connected

but i have an issue

i have an airbag fault on both seats and when i check with vcds it says airbag fault on both seats reading low resistance so i dunno now what the hell is wrong the plugs were different but until the looms arrived i soldered the original plug on to the airbag loom so i could plug them in and colours matched so i dunno whats wrong seats are like new so i doubt and hope that the airbags arent faulty

if anyone has any suggestions please get in touch or post below

seats are 2013 passat CC full leather with a 2016 mk4 caddy

was almost asleep and i suddenly thought of the airbag plugs that were not connected - (i had left the seat connectors intact so when the wiring harness arrived it would be plug and play and had simply spliced into the loom behind the plug but didnt notice that the plug had this shorting terminal built in so if the seats unplugged it shorts the loom )

anyway i pushed some plastic in between the pins to isolate it on both seats and ran vcds again and job done lighta gone out ImageImage

pedals arrived today from ebay seem good quality no fitment issues managed to scratch and dent the accelerator pedal cover when trying to squeeze the clips on itbwith anpipe grips but luckily theybare made of stainless steel so i managed to remove it and smooth it back out with a hammer and punch and then redo its brushed finish with some steel wool

busy evening

my heated elec seat looms arrived today with massive thanks to Stan-the-man

went to my parents to get using the shed as it was raining a little but it was too full to get in and i decided to just plough ahead outside in the drizzle it eventually stopped and i managed to get it all installed - the loom was absolutely spot on thanks stan and i eventually got it all completed and put back together

managed to strip a bolt when removing the drivers seat Image but managed to get it removed and replaced it with a good one

seats get pretty hot im impressed

wheels and suspension at the weekend with a bit of luck Image
