ok so i scrapped the plastic trim as it was from a mk5 golf and a slightly different colour of plastic so back to the drawing board i used to plastic version as a template for some plywood

Image

and my leather passat interior came with complete door cards which had black leather with the exact same pattern as the dashboard and same colour so i chopped it up and used it to cover the timber

all trimmed

done for now need to finish tidying the edges and fix it in position

think it turned out quite well

I think I prefer the wood one Image
Seriously though, top job mate, it looks good :)
As nice as the life dash is, I look at it and cringe for what I paid for it!
I wanted to make a motorised iPad holder for the dash top pocket. Just an idea but that’s as far as I got Image

I'm trying to find that very same answer because on the newer caddy life they're all colour coded so they must come off... I just don't want to be the one to find out Image

the vents themselves pop out - the new caddy life trims include the replacement vents but the new trim sits over the standard dash trim i think

I'm guessing it'll just push on with some double sided tape or something?

It looks like you can remove the outer vent trim chaps...
It’s separate piece held on with tabs ;)

Viraleye.... The caddy life trim is held in by the included vents (need to cut a couple of locator tabs off)
