Remap organised for this friday Image but in the mean time i fitted my bike mount that i picked up off amazon for €25 i added an extra piece of timber under the bracket so that it would give me extra support on the floor and more surface area to screw down as i didnt want screwing down through the metal floor of the van so now instead of 2 screws holding it to 12.5mm of ply i have 6 screws holding it to 25mm ply i also carpeted it just to tidy it up

I like the bike mount have you got a link to it? Is the 25mm ply fitted to the floor?

Ah I see yeah that makes sense. I've just purchased a slightly different one because I have 15mm axle, same brand though so thanks for the link. I'm thinking about mounting it to a thick piece of wood that fits the width of the van so I don't need to fix it to the floor. Should work I think.

Tackled a wireless charger today the wireless charging cradle i had, decided to become all loose and wonky so i dismantled it and used it as the basis for my wireless charge pad

ImageImageImage
put some tech 7 bond on the charger to hold it in place then fitted a piece of wood to hold it til the bond set
Image

converted a 2amp 12v usb adapter into a wired version and wired it up to a fused supply from the ignition side of the fuse panel under the steering column

its simple enough but a matter of fusing correctly with a low amp fuse and making good connections - this pad has been well tested over past few months so i know its a safe one ive had cheap wireless chargers before that overheated so didnt want that happening here
