The Swedish black sheep

Post by Nioelva » Fri Jul 13, 2018 8:06 am

Hi

I just bought this Caddy 3 weeks ago. Since then I have driven it 2000 miles.
It is a 2011, 1.6 tdi (75 bhp) fairly well equipped with electric windows, AC, Webasto heater with remote and roof rails.

The day I got it:

Here is the dent dude in action.

I managed to get all the old striping off.

Also mounted rear mudguards which I found at the local scrapyard for GBP 2 each.

Next order of business was to remove the rear wiper.
A bit fiddly but finally managed to get the motor out.
Ordered the cover from Ebay in gloss black.

Spent the weekend changing the chassi. New H+R front springs and the usual rear lowering kit.
Decided not to go too low. Still want to be able to use it as an everyday car.

Some old parts:

Also decided to chage the wheels.
Out with the old

Just love those Passat CC 18" wheels.

Short update what has happened since this summer:

New headunit installed with GPS, bluetooth, reverse camera (wireless)
The loadspace has been soundproofed and heatinsulated
New rear carpet
Vw Passat seats with Touran bases has been installed
Rear vindowguards installed

Todo:
Wire in the seats (Anybody have a wiring diagram?)

I took the car to Coro tuning in Gothenburg, Sweden a few days ago.
