Re: Highland Caddy
Nice 2 week trip away for work and I come home to some new parts for my Caddy
Side bars from Vanstyle, ordered these maybe a month ago but they were out of stock so took a while to be delivered. Not a bad job to fit, first side took me a about an hour, finding the holes (insert joke now) took a bit of time while getting the odd face full of dust didn't help either. The second side only took about 15 minutes. Happy I got these on before the lowering kit as it would have made fitting much worse.
Also fitting a RCD-510 DAB+ radio, a little disappointed that It didn't have the slot for a USB cable in the back so maybe I'll hard wire one into the cigaret lighter Overall happy with it though
Also picked up some Audi S-line seats, waiting until Friday to get them cleaned before I install them. Picked up some Touran bases for them as well, after a good clean this afternoon they are looking pretty well and ready to fit Friday

Re: Highland Caddy
The rear seats and door panels come with the 2 front seats, not 100% sure there would be a big market for rear seats so I'll maybe make a frame for them and keep it for a bench in the garage Any other ideas
The door panels aren't in the best shape but was wanting to see it any of the parts would fit in my caddy? window buttons look pretty similar and did come with 2 of the smaller speakers still inside so maybe try and see if they still work.
I'm also looking to add a MFSW but having a hard time finding the right wheel, all part of the fun though I got the slip ring I need for one and did read that I might need a new steering column stack, one without cruise control on it, or is that just of the steering wheel has cruise control on it?

Re: Highland Caddy
Got the seats fitted last week and couldn't be happier with them. Was very surprised how well they fit in with the Touran base. Such a big improvement with comfort and looks the part. I give the cab and seats a good clean with a carpet cleaners while everything was out, smells like new now. Had to get the GP and a cupa while I was cleaning.

Re: Highland Caddy
Since the winter is coming in I was thinking about wiring up the heated seats, has anyone done this with these seats?
