I've got the bar and fork mounts but yet to fit it.Image
I’ve got the Alu profile here, just waiting on the fork mounts to be delivered now. Gone for the seasucker mounts.
Hopefully should be fitted in the next week or so!

I’m liking the “handled” bolt/nuts you have fixing the mounts the bar!

Got them off eBay..... Had the idea of using the quick release clamp bolt from a seat clamp but the bar can only take up to M5 size and the seat clamps are M6...

I’ll have to get me some of them I think.

I’ve got two of those, so that I’m able to put the mounts at an angle, mocked it up earlier

Would love to recess the Alu into the floor so that it’s level with the laminate, but I think I’d need to take the bed back out in order to cut the laminate and ply floors. Not sure if it’s worth it Image

You got a link to the mounts and ally extrusion? Got some home made ones in the back of mine at the minute but might have to splash out when I re-do the back

I had the mounts from tredz, but there’s a fair few places around with them -

And the Alu -

Got the front rail and mount secured in

Have to fit another one towards the rear next to accommodate the second bike, looks like there should be plenty of room.

Yeah I think it was the right option! A right pain to do, but worth it I think!

The mattress has arrived!

To save the carpeted interior from mud and getting shredded from the removed front wheel, I use a couple of wheel carrying bags from Evans. Pop the front wheel in them and the interior is saved from the grippy, knobbly tyres.
Something like this https://www.evanscycles.com/fwe-single- ... g-EV248277

That’s hell of a shout! I’ll be picking up a couple of them!

No worries, I only did the mud and pulled carpet thing once before getting the wheel bags. The bag will take my 27.5 x 2.6 wheels and maxxis tyres ok. 29's can be bit of a squeeze dependent on tyre width.

https://customsizebeds.co.uk

They’ll make any size/shape and only takes a few days.
Haven’t slept on it yet but it feels good!

Nice one, are they expensive? My thought was just buy a nirmal memory foam one and cut it up but not sure how well that will work !
