What started off as a simple bed in the back.

So I have been looking around this forum pretty much ever since I got my caddy maxi around two months ago. It started off as simply putting a false floor and a bed in has now turned into a rapidly emptying bank account thanks to you lovely folks.

Here she is when I first picked her up an ex sky 2013 plate 1.6tdi bluemotion.
We straight away stripped her out and got to work putting in a false floor and a double bed.

Then off we went for a week in the lakes.

However having spent way too much time on here looking enviously at everybody else’s builds I had to start making mine look better so off came the wheels. With 17” Audi alloys going on.

Along with a leather steering wheel.
Loads of mods I still want to do.
H and R lowering springs with dark side axle flip.
Colour code front and rear bumper.
Touran dashboard, door cards and centre console.
Along with painting the interior grey trim plastic.
A long way to go but looking forward to it.

What did you do with the Rhino bars and ladder systems?

Got some potential this thing! Keep up the work!

It's strange that they left them on! I would have expected them to remove and swap over to their next vehicle.

Haha yeah, the jobs will never end and they are never done as fast as you expect!

Couple more upgrades done. Managed to get some Audi a1 seats and a leather steering wheel from a breakers yard and got them fitted.

Also taken out all of the grey pillar trims and headlining to be painted and carpeted Image.
Also managed to pick up touran centre console, door cards and dash for a really really good price so will be attempting to put them in at some poin.

Changing the seats is a must! So much happier with mine now. I recently started to refit my interior after painting it all. A Pillar trim is the worst thing to refit EVER. I spent 2 hours swearing alot, eventually got there though!

Well that sounds like I’ve got a lot to look forward too. Just getting the headlining out is a bit of a pain.

There is a knack to it guys. Simples. Put a Towel in the space. To the push clips don’t go down the dash. Put all the push clips in place. Put the bottom part the Y part in place, then from the get out the van and look from outside through the windscreen and guide the push clips into place, if they don’t Aline then move the clips to the correct place then push in. So easy guys. Sorry it took you so long.

Hey CaddyLuv, the alignment of the clips wasn't the issue! It's getting the corner of the trim into window corner and around the edge of the door seal. I had to stand on the edge of the door, one hand on the corner of the window and the other at the end of the A pillar trim, put a load of pressure on the end of the pillar trim to bend it into place. Got there eventually but put a bit of wear on my paint!

Whilst starting the dash swap I found this.

It’s held on by a cable tie so definitely not oem and has what looks like a stalker recover on it any ideas as to what it is.
