Cheers lads. Yeah that’s my thought, small price to pay (hopefully) however the amount of miles I do I could be eating those words .

Lovely!

And anyway, if we wanted comfort, it wouldn't get slammed!

Nothing on the van as such but made myself a couple of Carbon fibre door props for a grand sum of £13.53, I’ll do a how to in the appropriate section.
Going to also make a bonnet prop to match but one part hasn’t came for that.

I like those Chris, look well smart. Look forward to the How To.

I just got the parts to make the carbon bonnet lifter cover you (and Dan) did as I noticed the other day that mine was all rusty and the end was split.

It’s on there now mate. Chances are I’ll never get the opportunity/time to use them but it gave the kids something productive to do.

Spot on, it’s the small things .

Glad you like the seats Chris.
Looks like they have gone to a very good home.

I used to adopt the 'grab the sill and push yourself out' technique for getting in and out of them. I had them on caddy bases which made them lower too which seemed to help entry/exit.

Hi mate, yeah I’m very pleased with them and will take good care of them .

I’ll have to give that a go, I’ve mastering getting in them right but getting out without looking “special” is still in work

Didn’t realise you were on here, I’ll be able to look for your old vans build thread now

The VW trust building measure warranty came to an end last week, therefore I had a trip to see Nicky at Twinsport this morning
Van rolled back to pre-update software then stage 1 map file loaded on.
From short drive back home van feels totally different and drives superb (for a 1.6TDi), got a longish drive to do today so will be good for comparison.
Update: averaged 53.6 mpg (calculated) over a 146 mile trip. So it’s actually improved very very slightly as I usually get around the 52 mpg mark on the same journey (using BP ultimate diesel). Very pleased with it. Image

Hi Chris did twinsport recommend removing the intake diffuser..... as there is mixed reviews about removing it as it's supposed to stabilize the air flow to the sensor.
So I was undecided so left mine in but did add a panel filter
would be interesting to here other people's views.
