Swan’s caddy build

Post by the swan fiend »

It had been a while since I have done anything to the van, but I ended up breaking my eBay special arm rest, so I decided to find and fit a touran armrest. Much better!! Image
I’d decided on no more mods (hmmm) until the dreaded handbrake forgetting incident.
I have no photos of the damage done, but I was kind of glad it happened in a way as the van had previously been poorly repaired on the damaged corner, and I was in two minds about sorting it.....now I knew I had no choice!!
There’s another ropey paint job on the offside wing, that’s a job for another day!

So a few weeks ago, I put the van in to have the damage repaired and bumpers painted. I picked it up 5 days later and was amazed at the quality of the repair and paint match. ImageImageImage
I also fitted a rear bumper protector from vanstyle too.

Cheers Glen, yes the difference is amazing.
Yes it’ll be getting lowered next month.....it’s looking like the ST kit I’ll be going for. Demon Tweeks will fit it fir £200 apparently, including tracking. Seems like a very good price to me

I’ll be double checking that price as it seems a bit cheap

Fitted the rear bumper protector the other day, the rest of the mods will be in real time now. The next job is sorting the reverse parking sensors, the right hand side one was damaged in the bump I had....I’ll be getting a set of 4 fitted next week. I should/could do this myself, but chickened out!

Few little bits I forgot about. Carbon wrapped those bits (whatever they’re called) on the doors. I did this ages ago actually. Also another old one, team Heko wind deflectors, another easy mod. ImageImage

Yesterday I fitted another red R line badge. I’ve had a few of these but I gave this one a few coats of lacquer first, as, being eBay special, the quality ain’t the best.

Today, I did this little mod on the bonnet pull linkage.......This is a good one to do guys...takes 10 seconds, saves a ball ache potentially. Saw this on Doc’s build thread before. Thanks for the tip mate Image
