So after all the uming and aging I took the plunge and got a Caddy. I'm looking at moving it to be a day / camper / work van. Here she is.........Image

It’s the standard one mate. I’ve just had it colour coded

I didnt realise you could do that. I take it that you have done the same to the rear bumper too.

Yes, I had the rear painted too. It’s definitely worth doing if you want to improve the look IMO. However there’s a few smart vans on here with the bumpers unpainted. Check out some build threads to see mods that other people are doing, you’ll get loads of inspiration.

When I had mine bumper colour coded it took just under 2 days cost me just over £300.But when I had my new one done he had it for a week as he did it when he had some spare time when he was spaying other people vehicles that cost me £125.
But they do look a lot better colour coded.

Is the colour easy to get or do you have to special order it?

The painter will take your paint code and sort everything for you mate. As long as you get a good painter who is happy to do the prep, you’ll be fine

I think that will be on my to do list once I've got some seats and windows in the back. I can seem to find any info on the difference between Caddy Life seats and Touran seats. The pros and cons over a solid window or opener. Or the general sequence of converting a van into a day/basic camper as most people choose one style but I'm trying to wring out the best of everything lol
