Re: Jonny's work wagen...
So its been a couple of months since paint, its gone dull from gassing off so decided to test it on the bonnet...
de-nibbling
On with first stage of sanding
after third stage of standing
Polished back...
Happy with the results, but a little at a time considering the bonnet was 4 hours...
New rear lights turned up thanks to Shed, packed them well and sent out straight away!
Hopefully new wheels and 6 gears next...

Re: Jonny's work wagen...
Beautiful finish Jonny, bet your not looking forward to wet sanding the sides?
Have you thought about trying denim or velvet pads or will they not finish good enough?

Re: Jonny's work wagen...
The 3m system works a treat with this lacquer... although I have swapped out the finishing pad for a microfibre finishing pad.
Now finished with Gtechniq C1 and Exo V2
Finished the drivers wing today.. Ye, really not looking forward to the amount of time the sides are going to take!

Re: Jonny's work wagen...
Would love to get this done on mine, but unless its me doing it I couldn't afford it. Serious labour. Fair play, it looks stunning.

Re: Jonny's work wagen...
Install...
out with the manual switch setup - soon to be for sale ( lines, valves, connectors, wiring and front struts fully rebuilt with a airlift rebuild kit)
Fairly intense install compared to the simple management setup.
Lining up the copper hardlines...
Simple setup, finished and polished up...
Then time for a quick wash...
Next week the new AirLift struts should arrive, platform, damper, and camber adjustable!
