Lams orange bus

Post by Lams »

Hi guys,

My name's Alex and I own a Sundown Orange '06 Camper in Australia. We don't call them Trampers here, I guess it sounds a little rude in Aus
Mine is a 1.9TDI 77kw (104hp) 5spd manual. I'd love to one day put a 125kw 2.0TDI or even 2.0TSI motor in. We have gone camping in it TWICE in 2 yrs. I just bought a house this year so having a large wagon is very helpful

Model:
2KN Caddy Life 1.9TDI Camper (5 seats not 7)

Camper package:
Interior fluro, tailgate LEDs
Annex for tailgate
1.1m x 2.0m folding bed inside, with curtains
Wabasco sunroof
2x folding chairs
1x folding table
seat trims to suit
exterior stickers (dealer didn't install, thinking they looked 'Tractor')

Mods:
Oettinger ECU Upgrade
VW MFD2 with reverse camera
Phatnoise 20GB mp3 player
Touran bi-xenon
BMC CDA85/150
Passat W8 interior light console
Golf leather multi-function steering wheel
17" Jetta rims on CSC2 tyres
H&R Jetta front springs with Koni Yellow front
standard 2KN double leaves rear with V-maxx shocks
1 picture for speeding from QLD Police

I drive 2 hrs a day for work, the caddy's exceptionally comfortable and now averaging 5.4L/100km. I usually have a tank range of 1000km.

I have no further plans to spend any more money on it, as I just bought a house and have a mortgage :(
I'll take more pics once I find my camera!

Welcome to the forum buddy, hope you find it useful.
Your caddy looks brilliant, nice spec list too.

The word censor is there to give a laugh if we get any more spammers offering "Free girl Tractor" :D

Thanks Doc. I'm reading the spec on yours and I like what I see as well! Where can I find more pics?

I'd love to get a Touran bumper on, but Tourans aren't in Australia. Only very few Caddys had the optional 'body colour coding' option which includes the Touran bumper.

I found some pics at home and just switched to a new ISP, so once I figure out how to upload the pics there I'll put more on :)
