RyanP's Darkside Equipped Caddy 2K - 230hp+, TT Widetrack...

Post by ryanp »

Thought it was about time i posted a topic about my project, its just about finished now, getting the stickers fitted today and drag racing on Sunday at Santa Pod, anything in the 14's will do me as its a heavy bugger!! Taking the Jetta too with a few tweeks so hope to beat the 13.8 we did last year in that!

Holy **** that is some spec. Good work will be interesting to see what time it does and what cars are in the same bracket. Let us know how she does.

Once again good work, bet the traffic light grand prix is a laugh :D

Cheers guys! It does the job! Its not built for dragging so we only managed a 15.4 @ 89mph, could have got a couple of tenths off but i left it at that!

It handles well and is plenty fast enough for the road anyway!

Got some pics of the Caddy after we had it stickered up. Really pleased with how it has turned out:

New pics of the completed Interior too:

Just trawling through all the Videos and Pictures from Santa Pod, but managed to find this one. Scott in the Caddy and me in the Jetta.

Not the fastest run of the day (it was the first one!) but still not too bad!

Cheers

Aye it did not do too bad, not as good as i hoped but the headwind seemed to slow everyone!

Snapped the splines clean off the shaft!! Had a spare one in the van but could not get the bloody hub nut off at the side of the track so ended up doing it in the workshop Monday morning!!!

Awesome well thought out spec, not jealous at all!

could I ask a couple of question about some of the mods
Darkside Developments Re-Map with MAF and EGR Delete - is that the maf removed/remapped out? if so what are the benefits?
Audi TT Front Top Mounts - are these different to the mk5 if so whats the benefits
Audi TT Alloy Front Hubs and Track Rods (26mm Wider) - is that 26mm a side wider tracking?

sorry for the questions just some stuff I hadn't heard of before!
105 tdi with GTB2260 power around 280bhp/405lbft
