Trons new caddy tdi
Hi, after much looking and saving I now am the proud owner of a 56 plate Caddy TDI, 133K on the clock, keep fit windows and AC. Its in good condition for the year and miles, couple of small dents but nothing major.
Few pics, I will update as I start to do a few mods, Better get saving

Re: Trons new caddy tdi
Cheers Chaps, think the first mod will be suspension followed by wheels, side rail cover, panel filter and a map possibly an exhaust. After that seats and door cards. Think I'm going to leave colour coding until I get a Touran front end. Most of this will be ages away as I'm skint from buying it!
Cant believe how nice it drives, I think the rear wiper has a mind of its own! Eventually I did manage to stop it! Ha ha

Re: Trons new caddy tdi
First mod cost a grand total of £1.99 ! Rear wiper had to go so used a tap blank from B&Q! I will weld up the hole when I get round to painting the rear doors have they have a bit of a dent at the join.
Nut screwed on backwards (flange out) for clearance and seal on the inside.
Looks alright from the outside, better if it was painted!
Also I'm missing a bit of trim from each side of the front screen (see below) does anyone have the part numbers or rough price?
Cheers Tron

Re: Trons new caddy tdi
Well after spending Friday replacing the dead gearbox clutch and now SMF. Did not want to be doing a job so big so soon after buying it but hey ho these things happen! I decided to do another almost free mod and paint the inside of the headlights satin black, does take a while but I think its worth it

Re: Trons new caddy tdi
Cheers mate, not too bad, I heated round the join with a hot air gun working slowly around with a large flat blade screwdriver and wide scraper, it does take a while as I was being careful not to damage them, the second one was much quicker to do though.Longman wrote:Liking the lights .
