Little test fit of the new wheels - which give the much needed room for the new brakes. Shame the Rotiform IND's have no clearance at all.

hello...nice work u have done with caddy !! can u tell me which air ride type is that ? where to buy it? thanks :)

Jonny@PureDetail wrote:Figured i should put something up having had the caddy a month now...

So a bit of background.. Having looked for the right caddy in the usual places and BCA van auctions nothing as out there for the right price.. (everything caddy wise was going above book at auction) by chance a friend of mine said he would sell me his work van as he would need to sell at some point due to a looming T5 project. So knowing how well he knows VW's and looks after them service wise... it was a no brainer.

First off was a full day of de-stickering it...

Slight difference where the stickers were! Remember him saying it had about two washes in its life so on with preparing the paint for machine work..

a little tar down the side...

Image

oh and quite a bit of fall out and iron spots in the paint...

So once inside... the paint was in bad condition.. no love over the years would do that...

Image

2 days of machine work...

Image

Then coated the whole vehicle with G-Techniq... maintenance freindly :)

So the inside.. as i say he looked after the van service wise.. just never cleans them...

After a quick once over...

On to the sound deadening...

then added dynaliner foam over that...

then insulation...

Ply lined and carpeted... need to take some pictures of it all done...

Couple of dints taken out...

and some goodies bought... ;)

more to come...
