Led lights in the trunk door
Hi guys. I don't know how to correctly call it in English but I would like to ask you about adding the led lights in the trunk door (as seen on a picture).
I asked VW dealer. Showed them this picture from VW site and ... nothing in ETKA and what more ... they've asked VW and the answer was ... Where did they find it (the picture)? No comment;) Maybe you know something more (connection, part numbers) or someone already done it.

Just get a couple of boot lights out of any old mk4 Golf etc cut the holes and link into your existing boot light. Want to trim my boot panel so might do it myself while I'm on.

Re: Led lights in the trunk door
I assume they are led footwell light units,(Mk 7 golf perhaps) and yes, connected to existing boot light

Re: Led lights in the trunk door
Do I need to follow the harness from boot door to boot light on (LHD) left side? or just somewhere in the door after removing boot panel? If I need to follow the harnes from boot door to boot light I'll wait for a reversing camera to mount to make it 2 in 1;)

You will need to run cables into the tailgate from the light so like you say, may as well kill two birds with one stone.MartyPL wrote:Do I need to follow the harness from boot door to boot light on (LHD) left side? or just somewhere in the door after removing boot panel? Re: Led lights in the trunk door
Here's the strip led I fitted in my tailgate ( the camera makes it look on the piss )
Operated by the switch in the rear wiper motor cover.
I ran a single cable through the wiring gland ( pain of a job )
