Hi guys wanted my standard bumpers colour coded but was advised not to due to paint peels off is this true I would love the touran front but at mo can't afford one and paint it to

Do you mean paint yourself or get painted ? If you was getting done then defo ok with 2 pac primer although I have spray lots of bits of plastics and rear bumper myself with no issues its all in the prep though tbh !! And good lacquer of course

My caddy had its standard bumpers painted when I bought it and it actually looks alright but the paint has begun to show a lot of stone chips other than that its fine and seems that it was sprayed properly, I have another bumper in the shed that was sprayed and it's flaking badly which I think is down to either using the wrong primer or none at all.

I cut the bump strips off mine, flattened it, added a few black parts and it looks similar to the touran bumper.

Using plastic primer, 2 pac primer etc works so far. Key is in the prep which is mental boring. Makes a huge difference though

I prefer a good painted original over a Touran one, because they are so much cheaper to buy if it gets stone chipped!
