Looking at 2 caddys tomorrow one is a 1.6 102 bhp 2011 plate the other is a 1.9 104 bhp which is best to go for? Thanks

Look at the mileage. Both are good options, 1.6 has a slightly lower fuel consumption.
1.9 has a "pumpe duese" fuel injection system, which is a tad noisier.
1.6 is the new engine, fuel injection is now "common rail" (VW dropped PD systems).

And also depends on if you want to later fit a 6 speed box, And as far as i am aware that is still only possible with the 1.9.

Both have their flaws and advantages.

Go for the best van in terms of, mileage, service history, Cambelt been done etc

I've had a 1.9 and now have 1.6 caddy have to say I much prefere the 1.6 quieter engine better on fuel I'm getting an extra 100km per tank , just feels like a much nicer van to drive
