Gearbox oil drain

Changing gearbox oil. Can see the filler. There isn't what I would call a regular drain plug although there is a plate with the vw logo on held in place with 2 bolts don't just want to remove this incase it's holding something spring loaded that will bounce down the road. Is this the drain please.

Please ignore hands up I've been a numpty. Have found the drain plug further towards the rear of the unit.
