2013 reflex silver caddy

Post by pobmk4 »

Hi guys, I posted this in the new member section, so copied and pasted to here.

But as already mentioned I got myself a van back in November and have carried out a few mods since then.

I then wanted to spruce up the interior a bit, being a commercial vehicle it's just plastic, so I fitted a set of mk2 tt vents and mk6 headlight switch

Next up was the removal of the bulk head and the rear floor in prep for the touran rear seat conversion

This wasn't as bad a job as I initially thought, although removing the floor sections from the touran was probably the hardest bit of all.

So after all the other parts were gathered up, I set about fitting the rails into the floor.

The fitting went well, but as of yet I still have to fit the belts in the rear. I've got the touran reel belts and a 3B passat centre lap retracting reel (obviously for my middle seat)

While I was at the breakers I also found the centre console with the fixed armrest so obviously I wasn't going to leave it lying there!

Ideally I would have like the tilt and slide but it will do for now as I don't really use it anyway. Also got my hands on and engine cover to hide the nasty looking CRD 1.6

A few of the eagle eyes will have noticed I also fitted the porsche oil and coolant caps to add a few touches. Not to everyone's taste but it makes it different.

More recently I've fitted the touran rear carpets with the little footwell hidey holes, bit of a pain but it matches well with the seat conversion.

Again some may also have noticed that the front seats have been swapped now too. I was in a breakers the other day and happened to notice the seats just sitting there, so done a deal for them and touran bases.

They are from a leon fr550, supposedly quite rare in this form being that they are usually only spec'd with the cupra. But at some stage these will be getting trimmed with the rest of the interior to something a little nicer.

Nice caddy! Can mk6 switch and vents be fitted to a 58 plate?

Yeah, they all have the same dash. There's a bit of modifying to do to get the tt dash vents in. MK1 tt and the 8V S3 vents also fit, I think there may even be someone on here who has the S3 ones.

Nice job buddy.
How hard was it to remove the floor plate to create the footwell?
