incar entertainment upgrades

Post by kevo »

Hey to everyone.

-looks like the CD has packed up in my 2010 caddy. can anyone give me any thoughts on what type/model of SatNav - BlueTooth
-stereo might be the updated replacement could be?
maybe from about £200 to about £350 ?
i have looked on Amazon and Ebay but worried by imports without the whole package and no advice close by if any fitting problems that could come up.
Maybe UK supplier will be best for a complete Newbi.
kinda long list of things for you clever folks to read thru but, i will thank everyone for what ever help they can give.

Huge thanks
Kevo

RNS 315 or RNS510 are popular VW upgrades. I think you need to watch out for battery drain though on your model. Someone else will be able to confirm that and how to fix it if that’s the case
If it ain't broke, fix it 'til it is

An Android head unit such as Pumpkin could be an option if you’re prepared for some tweaking and full time internet access for it, very happy with mine, when you have full access to the forum, read my post here on this thread http://caddy2k.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=34318
... which contains a couple of links to my fitting & config experience, and in the meantime take a look at my build thread for a few more details.

In summary, a lot of value for the money.

I bought an fm transmitter.
Not exactly what I wanted but for the time being it’s great.
