Re: JD's Caddy Build
I trimmed off both of the thin sections left and right of the bulkhead which have the mounting points. A Dremel would probably be more precise but I just used a hacksaw and left enough material to sand and smooth down to a decent finish. The tricky bit is following the contours at front and back of the bulkhead to make sure you don’t cut off too much material.
I then carpeted the trimmed sections and mounted them using the existing holes and bolts.
I found a decent guide posted here with pictures http://forum.caddy2k.com/viewtopic.php? ... 85287b74bc
I didn’t know about the CaddyLife upper and lower B pillar trims you can get from VW till afterwards, but it’s a cheaper alternative looks the part I think

JD's Caddy Build
Door cards arrived today! They’re in pretty good condition as per the listing. Once the switches are replaced, lining re-trimmed and given a good scrub they should look good

Re: JD's Caddy Build
Thanks for the part numbers much appreciated! Just to confirm, does your driver's side motor have the same part number 1T0959701?

Re: JD's Caddy Build
Did a quick search using http://www.oemepc.com and found:
PASSENGER
1T0959701 - MOTOR 2005-2007
1K0959792 - CONTROL MODULE 2004-2016
DRIVERS
1K0959793 - CONTROL MODULE 2004-2016
Looks like the control modules will work, but possibly not the motors so I'll have to look further into that one.

Re: JD's Caddy Build
Bit of work done on the centre console.. added an internal USB/AUX port
Then shortened the rear panel.. will be adding a switch panel at the bottom for lights/USB sockets/Voltmeter display running off the leisure battery
