R33SXO Candy White

Post by r33sxo »

Well today was the first day I’ve properly started doing major bits to the caddy after owning it for a week, so I thought I might as well start a build thread. Hopefully I remember to take pictures along the way in the future lol.

Started this week by picking up a lot of new VW trim clips, grommets and door card clips. A new black rubber floor lining came and I also picked up a set of 2015 A3 s-line seats.

After the police put the van up for sale, of course they ripped all the cables out (or majority of themImage) which lead to them breaking pretty much all trim clips leaving everything semi loose.
ImageImage As you can see, I found a lot more cable behind the trims, dash and under the floor with old speaker boxes and modules from whatever they needed it for.
ImageImage
That was it for today. On the hunt for a centre console now and a lot more parts. As everyone knows what that feeling is like Image

I managed to find these seats for a bargain on eBay! 15 minutes down the road and they were £200 🤤

Been busy with work a lot lately, got a lot of parts sat there waiting to be painting and fitted, spoiler, front bumper.
Managed to pick a touran front bumper up though near enough mint condition, stripped it into the 3 parts and sanded the paint down so that I could smooth the number plate recess.
ImageImageImageImageImage

After a lot of filler and sanding it turned out perfect, ready for paint now and to colour code the lower black textured diffuser.
Picked up a good condition set of headlights for £25, so that I could split the headlight and paint the inside black. Also replaces my headlights that have got the core holes drilled inside from the police’s blue lights.

A lot more things to come soon. It’ll soon change quickly Image

R32 bumper shall be here soon. I’m on the look out for some nice exhaust tips that’ll work well with the bumper holes. Both front and rear bumper will be going in for paint.
I’m thinking about doing the electric window conversion with leather touran door cards. Photos will be up for progress soon🤙🏻

Haven’t been very active for awhile on my build. I have been doing a lot of progress though. Front and rear bumper no complete and awaiting to be fitted. Cluttering up my bedroom haha! Along with rear door spoiler that’s been painted too and smooth bump strips!
Hopefully get them on within the next week, van will be booked in for a full mop and will then be considering getting her on the groundImage

After what’s seemed like awhile my bumpers have been on for a month or so just haven’t got round to posting. Front bumper flew on, but when it came to getting the rear on that’s when the job started. Having to cut out the spare well bracket and bolts and then reduce the slam bar down in width for the bumper to be able to slide in place!

ImageImage

In those photos my rear spoiler was also fitted. I’m now in a mission to lower it, windows shall be booked in for tinting this month. I still need to fit my colour coded bump strips, flush wiper delete and repaint door handles and mirrors!

Hi mate rear bumper looks awesome. Mind me asking where you were able to get it? Also, what about the exhaust tips and how are they connected? Cheers!

Hey pal, the bumper I bought from Caddy2k off Instagram who makes them himself, which I just had to get painted. I’ve had a whole new exhaust system fitted mate. 2 and half inch stainless steel Cat-back system which was custom made.
