Got my Golf MF Leather Wheel, CH Module, Cruise Control and a Golf Highline Cluster fitted/modified/coded

Cant believe what a difference a set of £20 Clocks do!

Here's some terrible pictures! I broke my interior light trying to hardwire my dash cam :D

This brings my cost for mechanical repairs for the year to just under £1900 (injector, water pump, pulley kit and now both rear calipers)

Cost for Accessories I wanted fitted this year totals at £480 (17" alloys, RNS315, Bluetooth mic, Fabia gear knob, Passat B6 heated electric seats and a loom from Stan the man

And I've only owned the van for 12 months Image

I feel you pal! I got my Caddy in August. I treated her to a Cambelt, pump and full service and it repaid me by needing a new Turbo, exhaust, Alternator and I think Ive got an injector playing up. Fortunately for me my father in law sorts it all out so Ive not paid much more than you did for your calipers for all that!

Keep plodding mate :)

What did you do to your van today?

Post by Pepsi »

Had a bit of a bad day on Thursday. Woke up to find that someone had scraped the side of the van while parked on my road.

Image

Looked at it after and there’s even more damage but didn’t take a picture.

The same morning driving up to Bedworth and heard a little ticking noise coming from the back. Find the think much of and carried on driving.

Anyway on the m69 I hear a loud bang and put it down to debris flying and hitting the van as it was a very windy day.

Next thing you i hear another odd sound. Look back an there’s smoke coming from my rear right tyre and end up on hard shoulder to this.

Image

Waited on the hard shoulder for about an hour and a half for the rush hour to settle downand ended up changing the tyre.
Luckily the caddy has a full size spare.
I didn’t enjoy changing it while you gave lorry’s flying by past you and the van shaking every time.

The ticking noise ended up being a bolt in the tyre.

Was very daunting and now she looks like this.

Yeah I hope so.
Can anyone recommend a good set of tyres.
Looking to replace them all after what just happened.
The fronts needed changing anyway and obviously the 1 that blew needs doing.

Not looking for budget brand but something mid to high range?

Blacked out headlights and new fog lamps
Rear bumper fitted all ready for exhaust to be booked inImage
Looking good 👍

Was it a straight fit for the tt seats bud or did you fit the touran bases?

Had another look at gaining access to the washer pump gave up and squirted half a tin of egr cleaner into the throttle instead and convinced myself it actually does something worthwhile
