Some interior trim pieces were spray painted a few weeks after I got the Caddy.
Used Rustoleum "Satin Nickel" spraypaint.

I started carpeting the ceiling panels:

And the parcel shelf:

Still have to tackle the piece above the parcel shelf, then the side bits. Will start doing that in a few weeks time.

I will get black clips for the ceiling panels.
I will also get the dark grey/anthracite sun visors, grab handles, light fittings, etc.

And if you are wondering, these two are my Caddy's bodyguards:

@Caddy bridge, this is how the deflectors look (mirror in normal position):

And mirror folded:

@Liam, I will get pics of the modded wheel chock in the morning, I completely forgot.

Ceiling panel also got Dynamat and door sealing sponge to stop rattles. Did the sponge strips and Dynamat on the side panels of the load area and on the sliding doors:

The Dynamat made a MASSIVE difference. I still have to finish the roof above the front and rear seats, then inside the rear panels. All doors have been done so far.
Awesome work and excellent looking van. Do you do audio stuff for your job looking at your speaker builds etc?

When you say the dynamat made a massive difference is this to the quality of the sounds or in respect to road noise etc?

I really want to do something with mine, since taking out the bulk head it’s gone from quiet car to sounding like someone has the window down at all times. Image

Thanks Marty.

I used to work in the car audio world a long time ago, but I still keep up to speed with current "trends", etc.
I love SQ builds (sound quality) and still follow a few forums that focus on them.

The Dynamt made a huge difference to the sound in the Caddy, and cut down road noise by a huge margin. Previously, it sounded like an empty warehouse inside with hollow and tinny sounds from everywhere, now I can hold a normal conversation with passengers, talk via bluetooth on my phone, etc.
The doors sound more like a luxury cars when they close (solid "thump" sound) and not like some second hand wheelbarrow.

Dynamat is expensive, but it works properly. There are many different types of sound deadenings available and sadly here in South Africa, we are limited to just a few. I have used Dynamat on many many different cars and never have any bad things to say about it, except cost.

Thats brilliant to hear, thanks for the info.

There seems to be loads of choice here in the Uk just trying to make sure i get the right product as its not s job i fancy doing twice!

Don't mind paying a bit more for a premium product if it does the job well.

Not a massive audiophile if i'm honest but do like the idea of getting the general sound levels down.

Considering building a bulk head behind the new rear seats too as I can't believe what a difference it made removing the original.

Yes, window can be open about 40mm and no rain gets in
Even on a highway going 120kmh no rain gets in when the window is open a bit.

Got an early xmas prezzie from myself last year and only fitted them today.

Sliding door rails and covers:

And to think it looked like this when I got it:

Next on the to-do list is some suspension work to lower this silver thing a bit.

A and B pillar trims and the fabric piece above the parcel shelf spraypainted with Rustoleum flat black vinyl paint.
Roof area now all done, except for the sun visors, grab handles, etc.

Step by step that horrid beige/cream colour is getting banished from this Caddy.

I just got a lead on a JOM Blueline kit from a shop here in SA that are agents for them.

If all goes well, this silver coolness will be 50mm closer to the ground next week.

And I sourced a second hand front bumper that will be colour matched so the front end can look less van-like.

Thanks Roo.

Front coilovers getting fitted as I post this. Will get some pics later after the job is done.
The axle flip I can do myself, but the coilovers not.
Wheel alignment will be done as well.

Old vs new:

And the coilovers are on the highest setting which drops it about 50mm.

Might go slightly lower, but will see after the axle flip is done to lower the ass. The Caddy gets used daily and sometimes I have to ride on dirt roads so lowering it more might be an issue.

And front end now feels totally different. No more nose diving under braking, no more wallowing in corners, no more feeling like I am piloting a ship in the North Sea during a hurricane. Feels a lot more planted and safer compared to the stock front end.
