!Simple mods! New CADDY OWNER!

Post by Lewitodd »

Hi all, new to the forum after bagging myself a 64plate Black caddy has a trendline kit with only 38k miles! Just wanted to fish for some advice on what are the simple mods I can do?
Also is it possible to upgrade the standard heating controls to the high line controls but mine doesn’t have A/C
Cheers in advance

Replace the lamps in the interior light fittings to LEDs. Should be 2 types, festoon and push in ones.

Cheap / free mods are the best mods. Would love to see what people have done

Have a look at the members build threads......there is loads of good ideas, but it all depends on what you personally deem cheap!

Some nice ones that make a massive difference (to me) is..
Audi air vents ...mine were £15 for four, but I got lucky
Alloys et45 is normally the accepted ideal ...mine were 100 plus £40 for plastidip (plus cheap new tyres, obvs)
Some lows are definitely needed...anywhere from £280 for stance + up toa millionty earth pounds for others (that are undoubtably better)
Any nice seats from small VAG cars (Audi A1, Skoda fabia, seat ibiza, some earlier polos, I think?) are a straight fit, with no mods needed mine are A1 s-line half leather...£200
Different steering wheel.....minefield, but there are loads
Shrunken head from rear view mirror....keeps the bad ju-ju away
And it makes a world of difference when you clean it nicely....!

I'm sure others will be able to add the nice little things you can do with VCDS or Carista, etc.....i don't know about those!

Some great ideas to get started on here. I assume changing yellowy looking interior bulbs to brighter white ones is straight forward?

Yes mate. It’s a quick swap.

A nice simple mod is a caddy 2k sticker pack

Cheap mods that make a difference you say? Look up fuel filter cover, home brew and makes the engine bay a lot cleaner.
